Story
New Song Baptist Church was started on September 17th, 2006 through the obedience of Pastor Greg Wilson. God had placed it on his heart that Lafayette needed a God loving, Gospel preaching, Going into all the world, Baptist church. Pastor Greg was authorized by the First Baptist Church of Lizton, Indiana to bring the Gospel and Biblical baptism to Lafayette.
Our humble beginnings were in a garage. God then allowed us to rent a store front on the town square for many years where we were known as “The Bible Sign Church” because members would stand out on the square holding Scripture signs every Sunday. God then granted us a piece of his land in which to erect a small building to meet in. Now, preparations are in the making to build a new sanctuary in which to worship our Lord Jesus Christ that will seat our overflowing congregation comfortably.
We have a vision for the future in which God will add to our church, we will train men, and they will be sent out to plant more Biblical and Historical Baptist Church across Tennessee and the world! We are excited about what God has in store for us. Come, be a part of God’s plan!
